The Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT ), is an Autonomous Institute of engineering in Pune , India . Established in 2002, it is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University . The college is run by the ' Bansilal Ramanath Agarwal Charitable Trust.' This year, University grant commission has granted Autonomous status to VIIT, pune .

VIT BTech Admission Minimum Eligibility Criteria 2018
(A) For Maharashtra State candidates:
- Aspirants must have passed HSC or its equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.
- They must have obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects Or taken together.
- They must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates or belonging to Maharashtra State only).
- Candidates must have acquired a BSc Degree from a Recognized University as defined by UGC. They must also have obtained atleast 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);
- They must have acquired a score in MHT-CET 2018 conducted by the Competent Authority.
(B) All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidates
- Aspirants must be an Indian National.
- They must have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.
- They must have acquired at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) Or in the above subjects taken together;
- They should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates Or belonging to Maharashtra State only);
- They should have acquired a BSc Degree from a Recognized University as defined by University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);
- They should have a valid score in MHT-CET 2018 or JEE Mains 2018 Paper I.
