is VIT,vellore good or PSG, coimbatore?

Based on merit-PSG is ranked first whereas in vit money speaks more than ur academic proficiency

Campus-Vit has a better campus than PSG.Still PSG college has a good campus to feel good

Academics and faculties- both PSG and vit has equal standards of education but to be honest it is better to study in PSG if interested in technology oriented studies(physics)because of their motor pump manufacturing unit inside their campus

Which is nowhere seen in TN

Foreigners will be more in vit by which u get more of social knowledge but u won't find that in PSG

So PSG and vit are equally good in their own standards

PSG and VIT both are good institutions and also old but there are few facts to consider

VIT has a large and beautiful campus with all updated facilities. The institute also has a research oriented teaching staff. The institute provides choice to choose subjects in each semester which is a great feature.

Whereas the college is often ridiculed for having strict discipline rules like bind time to get into hostel and specially the strictness is a bit more for girls. This to ensure the well being of students only though.

PSG has a smaller campus in size but this is an government aided college unlike VIT which is private. The institute is well known for its academics and studies. Also mind you that the institute also provides good placements.

The Vellore Institute of Technology is better than the PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.

Both the colleges are Private colleges. Talking about the rankings then Vellore Institute of Technology is ranked 1st in the best private institutes in India, whereas the PSG College of Engineering lack in rankings.

As per the experts and students of both the colleges, the facilities and faculties both are very good in VIT as compared to the PSG. The infrastructure of VIT is far better than the PSG.

Talking about the placements then the recruitment percentage is better in case of VIT than the PSG. The median package offered to the candidates in VIT is INR 5 Lakhs per annum, whereas the median package offered to the candidates in PSG is INR 3.5 Lakhs per annum.

So, Vellore Institute of Technology is preferable over PSG Coimbatore in all aspects.

Both are good colleges,but i would suggest you to choose VIT Vellore. Here is the reason why.

Talking about the infrastructure VIT Vellore is better than PSG Coimbatore. And if we talk about the fees,here PSG wins because total fees for B.E/B.Tech course in VIT VELLORE is 7.80 LAKHS which is 2.92 LAKHS in PSG Coimbatore,so PSG is more affordable then VIT.

Now come to the main point which is placement report. VIT Vellore secured better result in placement.The median package for B.E/B.tech course is 5.20 LPA in VIT Vellore and for PSG Coimbatore it is 3.50 LPA,so both colleges are worth to money but overall i would suggest VIT Vellore.
