College Campus and Surroundings:-



Most people are curious and give much importance to campus and surroundings of a college. After all, these 4 years would be most memorable in their lives. for that matter, Sangli is a peaceful city and college is located nearly in 90100 acre. Enough space for curricular and extra curricular activities. Also,all the required THINGS for good life are available nearby. People here have very helpful nature but conservative in case of boys and girls(YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN). So if you wants to be in relationship in college beware of it ;).



Faculties:-



Every department in WCE has minimum 34 faculties(I know the number is less) who has very vast subject knowledge and will guide you properly. the most important thing in engineering is SELF STUDY and no senior faculty will spoon-feed you. It is your responsibility to take advantage of knowledge of these faculties.



College life:-



College life is no different than any engineering college across Maharashtra. Lectures, Bunks, Mass Bunks, Cultural festival, Annual days, Sport days, Lipton Katta, friendships,relationships,rumors,hostel-life(its all about BEDBUGS)and many more.I know you wont get proper mess food but it is less costly than many other cities in Maharashtra.



and Finally..



Placements:-



The ranking of college in Maharashtra has moved up only because of the placement record of college ,especially for CSE and IT people. Every year MINIMUM 50 companies including Mass recruitment giants like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, IBM visits college. But people tend to get placed in Core IT companies rather than mass recruiters. This is for CSE and IT people. but the record for other branches is less than this. People from Civil and Electrical are still struggling for placements. Mechanical and Electronics has moderate placement record.

Walchand college of Sangli is Government aided institute and is having a good name in all of Maharashtra colleges of Engineering. If you have a good score that you can take CSE in this college it is certainly very nice but you can also rethink Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai as option. Just a suggestion.
