Zinc Blende (ZnS) is a sulphide ore of zinc and upon heating it in the presence of air that is by the process of Roasting, the zinc sulphide gets converted to its oxide form. And this roasting technique applies to all the metal sulphides to get them converted into their respective oxides. Thus when zinc Blende is heated in surplus of air, it forms zinc oxide.. Thankyoh.
