No, it isn't compulsary to live in the hostel of Symbiosis Institution. You can easily look for a PG, hostel outside the college or look for an apartment if you have friends and the time to look for one. I'd prefer you to stay in a PG in the first year so you can come to know the area and make friends and then do a shift later on.
