Dear Vijay, AIIMS conducts its enteance examination for around 1200 seats across all its branches in India. Every year around 5 lakh students appear for AIIMS. You can do the Math for applicants to seats ratio. On an average, for every seat there are around 400 students competing. So if you get through the examination and get a seat, you should give yourself a pat on the back but shouldnt be asking whether its easy or hard to survive. We shall provide you with some insights and you can take a call. AIIMS is an autonomous Institution with world class infrastructure and world wide reputation. It is anyone's dream to study or work there. But having said that, MBBS is a professional course and there cannot be any lineance or laid back attitude because it deals with human lives. So you will have to be always on your toes while studying and later working. Its just not with AIIMS but in every Medical college. Surviving is how you react to circumstances.
