It is necessary to have computer as subject in science stream for better base of software engineering?

Yes, if is there then this would be an add on as you will be learning languages like C, C++ etc in your 12th only and after that when you take admission in software engineering course then you would be aware of these as you would familiar with the course content as well. So if you get a chance to add computer as a subject then go ahead with it.
