Hello Aspirant
Taking second drop for preparation of JEE Mains is neither a good nor a bad decision.
Students take a 2nd drop for JEE Mains most of the times because they don't have any better options and they believe they can do far better in another attempt.
It's quite normal, But, you should consider taking a 2nd drop only if you are absolutely sure that another year would improve your performance and score.
If you are completely confident and are willing to give it your all in this try, then discuss the situation with your family and your mentors.
Hope this helps
If you are serious regarding your stand point to get a college such as IIT/NIT/CFTI's or any top engineering colleges then yeah! Its a good decision for you to do so. But before deciding you should ask the following question to yourself:
- Dropping 1 year more means 1 year of postponement of your career. Is it ok for your future goals?
- Is your Financial stability is good to keep up trying for the next attempt?
- Are you really consistent in your studies & do you really think you can do it in next year?
If all this three question have one answer yes! Then you should take a drop year & this time make sure you crack it.
