Both the streams you have mentioned, have a good career ahead in there own possible way. If you are interested in learning codes, want to work in IT companies and want to be a part of IT giant, then I would recommend you to go for the course of BTech in Information Technology. Also, if you see the job perspective, then you will find out that the jobs in the IT sector are increasing steadily compared to other fields.

If you are interested in companies which deals with the Electrical components of high load industries. The Electrical Engineering graduates are recruited by varied companies such as  hardware companies, large power plants, industrial machinery, electrical motors, computer chips. So here also there are quite a good opportunity available. But the industry isn't growing that much compared to the IT industries.

Both the options, have a good career opportunities, now its your choice.

Hello,

First off, it depends on your area of interest. Still, if you ask me, I'd want to add a few things. A key area of engineering is electrical engineering, where you may also study computer science and electronics. Almost every business, whether it be government, corporate, or PSU, has a vast range of employment opportunities. Every branch of the defence services has room for improvement. Even if an electrical engineer is interested, he may decide to transition to the IT industry because many IT firms employ students from all engineering disciplines. The field of information technology is a specialised part of engineering, and new developments are being made daily that will make use of outdated technology obsolete.

In addition to this, automation is also about to take off in a large way at a time when demand for IT workers will plummet since the majority of jobs will be automated. In the upcoming few years, thousands of IT professionals will lose their jobs, according to experts' predictions. You must now make a choice.

Thank You
