    I've given my 12th Examination from ISC in 2019 and gave JEE Mains two times in 2020 and 2021. If I reappear for 12th exam again from NIOS Board and get a fresh Marksheet of the year 2022, will I be able to appear for JEE Mains 2022 because they only account for 12th ? Would this be legal or not?

    Hi,

    JEE Mains counts attempts from first time you appear in 12th. Since you have attempted JEE in previous years then, NTA has your Data and Records.If you apply again when you become ineligible with 12th marksheet  from other Board, you will get identified as NTA matches Aadhar number and other details during registeration.

    But there are few similar questions on this site where it's written that it's possible to do so.

    Rohit Pathak It may be possible Earlier but now a days NTA uses aadhar number for identification so it can easily identify how many attempts you have given till now.

    Anuj Kumar Sir but they haven't mentioned anywhere that there are maximum three attempts only. Neither they have mentioned that you can give Jee only when appearing for the first time in 12 th. The Criteria simply states that Candidate should've passed 12th in 2020,21/22. Nothing else has been mentioned. If I would use a new marksheet of 12th NIOS, then logically I should be treated as a fresh Candidate. If it wasn't possible to give the exam after reappearing for 12 th, than they would've mentioned that you can have only three attempts in a single life. Also an Answer by Vishal Chaurasia says that He has Verified this from NIT Allahbad that it is possible to do so.
