I've got seat in gfti colleges of josaa counseling round-1 but i don't want to join that college, in this case do i have to pay 35,000?
Hello Aspirant....
Candidate can opt for Float option if you are confident that colleges mentioned above this GFTI in your List will be allotted to you and pay the fee which will be carried on to further college allotted,if not you can withdraw the fees by deducting 1500
And about the float option:-
Candidate accepts the offered seat and wants to opt for a seat in an academic program of higher preference in any Institute if offered in the subsequent rounds. If he/she does not get a seat in a higher preference program, he/she will continue with the currently accepted academic program. This candidate will be considered in subsequent rounds of seat allotment.
Or else you can use our predictor to know if the colleges mentioned above in your list can be allotted to you or not

If you have already accepted the seat allotted by JoSAA 2020, and do not want to accept it, then you can do two things. Either you can withdraw your seat (by reporting online starting from the 2nd round and upto the 5th round of seat allocation) or you can use FLOAT option ( which will be safer than withdrawing).
Float - It means that you have accepted seat , but you want a seat of higher preference in other institutes in further rounds, and if yoy will get some higher preference dear or institutions, then you will accept it. Also your previously alloted seat would remain with you even if you not got any seat during 5th round of josaa.
But if you use float option then also you have to pay seat acceptance fees. In fact if you got alloted a seat, and you want slide or float option then also you have to pay the seat acceptance fees of Rs. 35000 (this fees is only for one time). If you will get any seat during float or slide option then you will not have to pay fees because you had already paid then seat acceptance fees one time.
