If you have not done payment of the application form then you have the chances of changing the info given by you and if you have done the payment of the application form then if alteration of form dates are not available then you cannot change. And according to the info available you cannot fill new form with the same name and info previously. And you can consult with the college officials regarding this during first year or  second year of DU because in many colleges there are options of changing info through affidavit also. You must try once.

You should inform the college authorities about the mistake that has occured. It will not pose much of a problem provided your admission process is done, but I'll suggest you to contact the college officials and inform them of the error. It's always better to be on the safe in these matters as it should not haunt us in future.
