Jadavpur University conducts entrance exams for their BE and BA courses, but for BSc course, the admission is done on the basis of performance in your 10+2 level. For BSc Geological Sciences, the basic eligibility criteria states that the candidates should have passed their 10+2 level from any recognised board in Science stream with Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. A minimum aggregate of 75% marks should be scored in PCM, for the general category candidates. For OBC, SC/ST and PwD the minimum requirement is 67.5%, 56.25% and 40% respectively.

For admission to BA, you need to sit for entrance exam. But admission to various BSc courses are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The merit list will be prepared, out of 300 marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Jadavpur university may start the online application process for admission when the results of 10+2 examination is released.
