Jamia millia islamia university delhi
Hey Dilavesh.
I understand the dilemma of choosing a college and a course after class 12. As far as Jamila Millia Islamia University is concerned, it is ranked high among its competitors.
Well the architecture faculty at Jamia is ranked among the top10 institutes of India. Its exceptionally well and a perfect option for those who wants to get an undergraduate degree in architecture. Also from 2016 onwards Jamia has stopped conducting its entrance exams for Architecture. It admits students through the jee mains exam and fills the seats acc. to the rank a student gets in JeeMains.
Jamia enjoys the position of being one of the best architecture college in Delhi NCR, and if you go by Outlook rankings, all over India as well. Having said that, the fact that it is located in Delhi, it has an edge over a lot of other colleges in the NCR where the students do not get enough exposure. Though the architecture faculty was established in 2001 only, but it has clearly evolved and developed immensely in these last 16 years of its existence.
The cut off for the year 2016-17 is mentioned below:
CATEGORY Cutoff Marks – JEE MAINS 2016(Paper-II)
General 200
Muslim 180
Muslim OBC/ST 170
MUSLIM WOMEN 160
JAMIA INTERNAL 140
PWD 127
Kashmiri Migrant 180
Hope this serves your query. Feel free to respons and ask further questions.
All the best.
Architecture is good. The university has very peaceful environment. Teaching staff is very cooperating. It also has metro connectivity.
There is no cut off as such for graduation. You have to give entrance exam for which you should have at least 55% in your 12th.
Best of luck
