Hi LVM Reddy, Java is still one of the most dominant languages in the software companies. Even though some of the application runs over in .net, Java has a very large impact compared to .net. .net also has a disadvantage of being old enough, becuase of c# being an older language to java. Java is very much feasible in many ways as such it helps in web development as well as app development with the same language knowledge, which makes still the most convincing one. There are many high opportunity for Java developers compared to  . .Net developers, and hence the scope for career growth is also high in terms of Java. But whatever be the kanguage, getting salary, promotions and career growth all deoends on experience, practise, knowledge and ease over the languages.
