General examination pattern is given below:-

******* Number of papers which are there
There are 2 papers:-
Paper 1
Paper 2
***** Examination duration
You get 3 hours for each of the paper
4 hours for each paper for PwD
******* Number of sections
Each has 3 sections :-
Paper 1-
Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics
Paper 2-
******* Marking Scheme
Exam has
full marks
partial marks
zero marks.
Negative marking is also there
JEE advanced examination pattern is given below based on past years :-
TYPES OF QUESTIONS ASKED along with their marking scheme:-
************ Questions with single Correct Option :-
you get 3 marks if the option chosen by you is correct
0 mark if you haven't attempted it
-1 mark if the option chosen by you is wrong.
************ Questions with one or more correct option :-
you get 4 Marks if you choose all the correct options,
you get 3 marks if 4 options are correct but you choose only three correct options
you get 2 marks if three options are correct but you choose only 2 correct options
you get 1 mark if two or more are options are correct but you choose only one option and that is correct and in the rest of the cases you get -2 marks
0 if you don't attempt the question
************* Question with numerical value answer :-
No options are there.
You get 4 marks if the numerical value entered by you is correct,
0 mark if you leave it unattempted or the numerical value entered by you is wrong.
*************Question with single digit integer answer :-
You get 3 marks if the digit entered by you is correct,
0 mark if you don't attempt the question
-1 mark if the digit entered by you is wrong.
*************List Match Sets question :-
You get 3 marks if you choose the option corresponding to the correct combination.
-1 mark if the option chosen by you is wrong
