- Date of Exam: The exam will be held on 27th May 2019.
- Exam mode: The IIT JEE Advanced exam will be conducted through online (computer based) mode only.
- Number of papers: The examination consists of 2 papers.It is mandatory for the candidates to attempt both the papers.
- Number of sections: There are 3 separate sections in both the papers, namely physics, chemistry and mathematics.
- Question paper type: The questions paper will contain objective type that includes MCQ as well as numerical answer type questions.
- Exam timing: Total 3 hours will be provided to each paper. Timings for paper-1 will be 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and for paper-2, the timings will be 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
- Language: The candidates can avail the question papers in both English and Hindi medium.
- Marking scheme: There is a procedure of negative marking for some of the questions.

JEE advanced is the second phase of JEE. This year it is scheduled to happen on may 27, 2019,
the conducting authority is IIT, Roorkee. Its a computer based exam.
following is the reservation percentage:
open: 50.5%
sc: 15%
st: 7.5%
obc-ncl: 27%
talking about the exam pattern,
the exam will have 2 papers i.e paper 1 and paper 2 in hindi and english language.
there will be 3 seperate sections i.e. physics, chemistry, maths,
there will be mcq type questions, numerical aptitude type, and match the cases.
there will be negative marking for incorrect question answer. pls read the instructions carefully.
