The weightage doesn't depend on the session the exam is being conducted in, For example, in Physics, Modern Physics has the highest set of questions asked. 5 questions atleast are asked in this topic carrying a weightage of 20 marks. Topics like Heat and Dynamics, Optics, Current Electricity, Electrostatics carry 3 questions each with 12 marks. Magnetics has 2 questions from its section carrying 8 marks. The rest all have 1 question each with a weightage of 4 marks. Now this is based on previous years exam trends and this shall remain the same for both January and April sessions as well.
