Hello aspirant,

The competition for getting into IITs and NITs is very tough and every one  wants to get into this institution. Admission depends on various factors such as category, home state quota, branch, no f students applied, number of seats,etc.

With your category rank it is still very hard to get a seat in any IIT or NIT as if you are lucky you can get a seat but in lower branch only.

For more better understanding you can go through the previous years cutoff and get an estimate.

In case of jee advanced one sc student needs below 2300 rank .So there is less chance for iits.In case of  jee mains you wont get nits but you can get GFTIs ( Considering your home state as Bihar).Here I am providing you the options for you :

1.HNB Garhwal University :ECE

2.School of Engineering ,Tezpur :Food technology

3. National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology ,Ranchi :Materials Science

4.PEC,Chandigarh(Equivalent to nit) : Mettalurgical Science
