Hi Raamana!

Hoping that you are preparing well for the exam and all set to ace the exam. It is good to see that you have a course decided which you wish to pursue after you complete your high school studies. It is preferable that you choose a course for your undergraduate based on your interests and ambition, and should not be influenced by many factors like sentiments, peer pressure, etc.

You must have a decent score to get into the prestigious institutes of India i.e. NITs and IITs. These two institutes are most sought by the candidates and try their level best to get into one. For securing a seat in your desired branch, you must score at least 320/360 in JEE Mains. The qualifying marks or cutoff marks vary every year and it is dependent on the performance of students as a whole. As the competition is very harsh, you have to toil day and night to get this high score. The marks are decided by the examination body and it is set as a level, which is good for students, considering their quantitative and qualitative skills. You have a handful of days for preparation for acing the exam. You have to put extra efforts to clear the exam. JEE Mains would be mostly encompassing the topics which are crucially important given in NCERT textbooks. Also, there are many open source websites and educational sites providing you with free e-resources which could be handy during your study.

Presently, you need to focus on studying all the concepts well to attempt your competitive and board exams and score well to get admitted. Choose your course well in your admission based on your interest. The weak concepts must be revised again such that they may not hinder your mark-gaining strategy. Depending upon you grasping skills, you get through a job and paid well, which means that when you enroll in a good college like NITs and IITs, you are automatically towards the pathway to a brighter future, led by your efforts. Wishing you that you get a seat in the institute of your choice.

So, happy studying and good luck!

Hello dear,

There is no official declaration of cutoff for jee mains 2019 by NTA but most probably the cutoff will be above 85 percentile for general candidates. Please wait for the official declaration of the cutoff.

Hope this information helps you.
