IIT JEE Main Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2022
There are two papers in IIT JEE Exam.
Students who want to get admission in B.Tech/B.E they must apply for the First Paper and those who aim for B.Arch/B.Planning can apply for paper 2. Candidates may also apply for both the papers. Paper I include a total of 90 Objective Multiple Choice questions from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

JEE MAINS conducts two papers. The paper 1 is for Engineering and the paper 2 is for Architecture.
For the JEE MAINS paper 1, the questions are asked from three subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject having maximum of 100 marks for 30 Questions out of which 20 are MCQs and 10 are numerical answer type (NAT). Out of these 10 NAT , 5 are compulsory. That is from 90 questions (for all the three subjects), 75 questions need to be answered in 180 mins.
For JEE Mains paper two:
- Part-I: Mathematics- 20 MCQs + 10 (numerical questions) out of which 5 questions are to be answered
- Part-II: Aptitude Test- 50
- Part-III: Planning Based Objective Type MCQs - 25
