Hello Ritesh,
Journalism and law both the fields have their own relevance. If you chose to study law then it will take 5years to complete. After that you can practice your lawer skills further . But if you chose to study journalism then it will take 3 years all in all (BA in journalism and mass communication) sometimes the course of B.tech in tv production and media technology takes 4years. Earning of a lawyer is almost similar to a well established journalist, there is no much difference. If you ask me, from my personal view, I would suggest you to study journalism because the scope is vast for this sector. You can get a chance in media industry, production, advertising and so on.
You can consult with your teachers or elders. Search on the internet for both the streams. Think before you chose your area of study then only make the right decision.
All the best!
lawyer is itself a journalist.
i will suggest to go for law because it has moure scope and salary.
Hi Ritesh
There are a lot of similarities between the two fields. While a law degree can give you a new direction, I am unconvinced that it would boost your journalism career. The law school grads I know who are successful journalists never really stopped their journalism careers. Most worked and attended law school at the same time. That is tough to do and is an example of how good they are at juggling. As you consider your options, don't compare your position today with where you figure you would be after 4 years of law school. Compare where you'd be after 4 years of law school with where you think you'd be after three more years of journalism.
So think about it
All the best
Hi Ritesh,
Both the branches are very different and has enormous opportunities. The role of media is very crutial in today's life so job prospects are very good in Journalism. Same goes for Law, lawyers are always in demand in numerious issues or problem solving. Being a well known Lawyer is very respectful.
Thank you and best of luck.
