Dear aspirant,

IIT Bombay releases the official notification for the eligibility criteria for jee advanced 2022. Last year the education minister has waived off the 75% criteria.

For jee mains 2022:-

1- Candidates need to score a minimum of 75% criteria in their 10+2 equivalent examination. Candidates should be within the top 20 percentile.

2- Candidates should be born on or after October ,1997. Candidates can give a maximum of two attempts consecutively that is in 2022 and 2023.

Hello Aspirant,

See the notification released by IIT Bombay for JEE-Advance 2022, does not includes anything about 75% criteria, it only consists of points regarding maximum number of attempts and this year most probably 75% criteria would be relaxed for JEE-Advance as well as for admission to NITs/IIITs on the basis of JEE-Main score. If 75% criteria would be restored then it will be informed through the official website :-

https://jeeadv.ac.in/

Also a one-time measure has been provided for JEE-Advance 2022 according to which

"candidates who appeared in class 12th (or equivalent) examination in 2020 for the first time are also eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2022 PROVIDED they satisfy the following two criteria simultaneously:

***** The candidate should have appeared ONLY ONCE for JEE (Advanced), either in the year 2020 or 2021; OR, have NOT appeared in any paper in both JEE (Advanced) 2020 and JEE (Advanced) 2021.

***** These candidate(s) should appear/should have appeared in JEE (Main) 2022 and meet the cut-off score of the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) for qualifying for JEE (Advanced) 2022 in their respective category."

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
