Correct Answer: Sri Lanka

Solution : The correct answer is Sri Lanka .

Katchatheevu Island was governed by Sri Lanka and India jointly during British rule. Early in the 20th century, Sri Lanka asserted territorial rights over the island, and as a result, through a joint agreement, India ceded the island to Sri Lanka in 1974. Fishing rights were ceded through another accord two years later.
