Dear Sougata, am not sure whether I got your question right? Do you want to know how to control the pressure of studying and overcome the pressure or how is it when you are affected by pressure of studying. Either ways, let me try answering. You are what you think you are. If you think you are giving into the pressure, yes you are. But if you think you are strong, then you are. Let me give you an example from my life in school. We all kids were playing egg and the stick in a school competition. I was the only girl left with two other boys. We were all from the same class. I was slowly rolling the raw egg with a scale and wasn't bothered how fast the boys were going. Meanwhile a boy brobroke the egg and he was ruled out. So irrespective of who won the race, I was still going to win a prize. Meanwhile, one of my classmates kept on saying, Come on Priyanka, roll the egg fast and hard. He kept on saying it until it got into my head. I hit the egg hard and within hardly few steps away from the winning line, I lost. I lost because I heard to someone else and not trusting my own capabilities. Ever since, I learnt only to listen to my voice. The world around you might be screaming pressure but if you are capable of trusting yourself, I don't think pressure should really matter. Yes, studying is hard and so is achieving your goals. Nothing comes easy in this competitive world. And your exams are the first steps towards the struggle of achieving your dreams. Your teachers might tell you that if you study and do good, the rest is easy. I'll be honest with you. It's not easy. Life is not done after you write your exams. You succeed, then you try setting another goal. Life is a continuous process. Only those who can withstand the pressure, will succeed. The rest will not. If you think studying is a pressure, welcome to the club. But that is just the first step. Once you get a job, your journey towards promotion is another pressure. And again you have to survive and succeed. You can only succeed if you think your capabilities are much better than the pressure of studying or pressure of succeeding. Good luck!
