Hi, The University of Delhi has released the list of DU 2019 courses offered by the university along with the admission notification on May 30, 2019. The courses of DU 2019 are the different undergraduate programmes offered by the colleges affiliated to the University of Delhi.

Currently, B.Ed and B.El.Ed (Bachelors in Elementary Education) is offered by the University of Delhi which are under Faculty of Education.
DU B.Ed Program is a full-time professional teacher education program of the duration of two academic years, after graduate or postgraduate studies, leading to a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Degree.
The University of Delhi at four institutions offers the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Program:
- Faculty of Education (Central Institute of Education - CIE)
- Lady Irwin College (LIC)
- *Maharshi Valmiki College of Education (MVCE)
- Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for women (SPMC)
- **Lady Irwin College (LIC) and Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women are exclusively for women. Only women candidates can apply to LIC and SPMC Faculty of Education (Central Institute of Education - CIE) and Maharshi Valmiki College of Education (MVCE) are co-educational institutions
Eligibility Criteria DU B.Ed Admission 2019
Candidates must fulfill both Part A and Part B of the eligibility conditionsA. Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- Category-I: Candidates with at least 50% either in Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanities, Bachelor’s in Engineering or technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible
- Category-II: Candidates with at least 55% marks in aggregate in Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology and specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible[as per Appendix-4 of the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2014 - notified in the Gazette of India]
B. Eligibility for Choosing Teaching Subject:
- The candidate will have to choose only one teaching subject (within a subject category) from Table 1 which she/he must have studied in the qualifying degree i.e., Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree for at least 200 marks and obtained at least 50% marks in this subject
- The subject chosen by the candidate from the subject category will be considered as the teaching subject and will remain to be the same throughout the B.Ed. programSciences - Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Home Science*, Integrated Science
- Languages - Sanskrit, Hindi, EnglishSocial Sciences - History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Social Science
- Other Subjects - Commerce, Psychology**, Sociology, Punjabi Urdu*Home Science will be offered only in LIC. Only candidates who have studied B.Sc. Home Science are eligible. B.A. program with one discipline of Home Science will not be eligible
Selection Process
- All admissions to the B.Ed. program will be made through a Written Entrance Test of 400 marks. The merit will be prepared on the basis of scores obtained in the Written Test.The test will be of 2 hours duration
- The question paper shall consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 4 marks each. There is NEGATIVE MARKING. For each wrong answer ONE mark would be deducted
- There will be one common entrance test for all the candidates. The test will include questions based on understanding and application of concepts in Science, Social Science and Mathematics at school level, language comprehension in both English and Hindi, reasoning, teaching aptitude and general awareness on social, political and economic issues
B.El.Ed is a 2-year full-time undergraduate course, divided across 4 semesters. The eligibility criteria for the same is 10+2 or equivalent qualification with minimum aggregate marks from a recognized board. Top Institutes offering B.El.Ed. course:

U CIE B.El.Ed 2019 Eligibility
The minimum educational qualification for the admission into B.El.Ed courses at Delhi University has given below. Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) programme must have passed* the Class XII examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other Board recognized as equivalent to the CBSE. All candidates are required to select four subjects in the following manner:
1. One from List A and three from List B

Delhi University (DU) Central Institute of Education (CIE) will conducted DU CIE B.El.Ed 2019 Entrance Test for the admission into Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) courses 2019-20 under various colleges of Delhi University.Written entrance test date: Last year Delhi University (DU) Central Institute of Education (CIE)B.El.Ed entrance test held on June 21, Sunday.
Application form for admission to the B.El.Ed. Programme – 2019 Presently for Women Applicants Only.Last year Online Availability of Forms started from May 26, Tuesday and Last date for online submission of Forms was June 9, Tuesday.
The admission for B.El.Ed. 2019 will be done as based on filling the online form only available at cie.du.ac.in. The candidate applying for B.El.Ed. is required.To go through the B.El.Ed. Prospectus available at www.cie.du.ac.in carefully and familiarize themselves with the entire requirement therein.To satisfy eligibility to appear in the entrance test. The Online application form has the following five sections: 1) Personal Information, 2) Educational Information, 3) Files Upload, 4) Security Code and Undertaking and 5) Payment Information.
B.Sc.-B.Ed. : is a four year ( divided into 8 semesters) integrated programme which aims at integrating general studies in sciences and professional studies in education. It provides a wide knowledge base for becoming an elementary and secondary school teacher. Eligibility for this programme is passed in the senior secondary examination (class 12th ) with science stream along with minimum percentage as prescribed by the university.
