Hello there
There is no individual paper cutoff, they sectional cutoff in JEE advanced is based on the total marks of both the papers, your total marks of both papers i.e. Marks of paper 1 + Marks of paper 2 must exceed the sectional cutoff.

Hi abhishek ,
Yes the subject cutoff is calculated after the total marks in paper 1 and paper 2 . So its just mean that if both the paper has 60 marks each then out of 120 marks one has to score 12 or 15 decided by the josaa to get atleast eligible for the paper to check forward or else at that instant the candidates will get terminated.

In JEE advanced there is overall cutoff for both paper there is no individual cutoff of both paper.
You should have atleast 10% marks in each subject .
This 10% is aggregate of both paper 1 and 2.
