Hello,
Relaxation is given for minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying to get admission into IIT this year. But to get admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs a candidate belonging to general category must score minimum 75% marks and for SC/ST it is minimum 65% marks to get admission in to B.Tech. For B.Arch /B.Plan candidates need to score minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
So if you are considering to get admission in NIT you need to score minimum 75% marks in the qualifying exam if you belong to general category and 65% marks if you belong to SC/ST category.

Hi.
NO, the percentage cap is still valid.
It has been clearly stated that
"
Admission to B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Planning. Courses in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12thclass examination or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class / Qualifying examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class / qualifying examination.
"
If you have a further specific query please feel free to comment.
Best of Luck.
The 75% marks in boards examination criteria has only been removed to appear for jee advanced and fir admission in various iit's but it has been not removed for admission to nit's/iiit's or gfti's. However students will be able to appear for jee mains and jee advanced even after scoring less than 75% in 12th boards examinations.
If you want admission in nits or gftis or iiits, then you must need an aggregate of 75% in your class 12th boards exam or equivalent exam.
You will get nit or iiit or gftis only after giving jee mains exam and attending the josaa counseling.
If you don't have atleast 75% aggregate in class 12th board exam, then you will not be eligible to take admission in nits.
So, ut is mandatory yo achieve an aggregate percentage of over 75 to get admission in nits, and this criteria is not removed.
