Yes, you can appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) even if you are in the Class 12. According to the AILET eligibility criteria, candidates appearing for the qualifying examination (Class 12 examination) in March/ April 2025 are also eligible to apply for the entrance test.
As per the eligibility criteria, all candidates, other than those applying under the Foreign Nationals category, should appear for the AILET. Candidate must have passed the Class 12 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (42% aggregate marks for OBC category candidates and 40% aggregate marks for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates).
Candidates appearing/ awaiting results of the qualifying examination (Class 12 examination) can also apply and appear in the Entrance Test. However, the eligibility by such candidates shall have to be obtained by the cut-off date, which will be notified along with the notification of Entrance exam result. Therefore, you can appear for the AILET even if you are in Class 12.
