Hello,

Yes, after completing NCC (National Cadet Corps), you can pursue UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exams . Here's how:

  1. Eligibility : NCC does not restrict you from appearing for UPSC exams. You need to meet the eligibility criteria for UPSC, such as age limit, educational qualifications, etc.
  2. NCC Certificate : An NCC 'C' certificate can offer additional benefits, especially in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force, but it is not mandatory for UPSC exams.
  3. Preparation : NCC provides leadership and discipline skills that can help in UPSC preparation.
  4. Path : After NCC, focus on academics, current affairs, and consistent UPSC preparation.

Hope it helps !

Yes, you can prepare for UPSC after the NCC. If you have obtained NCC 'C' certificate, many vacancies are reserved in regular course of IMA. Also you can compete in UPSC exam for commission through OTA. Also NCC ' C' certificate can give you some bonus marks in recruitment processes of paramilitary forces like BSF, CISF , CRPF and SSB. NCC certificate can be advantageous but it is not mandatory requirement for UPSC exam.

NCC training helps candidates in various ways like personality development  and also in interview in will help ,as there is column for extra curricular activities.

Yes , you can appear for the UPSC exams after completing your NCC training , provided you meet the eligibility criteria .

Here are some points to consider:

Eligibility for UPSC CSE (Civil Services Examination) :

2. Age Limit : Generally , the age limit is 21 to 32 years for the General category , with relaxations for reserved categories.

3. Nationality : You must be an Indian citizen.

Advantages of NCC for UPSC Preparation :

1. Discipline and Leadership Skills : NCC training helps in developing discipline, leadership and a sense of responsibility , which are beneficial for UPSC preparation.

2. Certificate Benefits : If you hold an NCC ‘C’ certificate , you may get preference in services like the Indian Armed Forces or paramilitary forces through direct entry schemes like the SSC NCC Special Entry Scheme (not directly related to UPSC).
