Kya sir mera board me 78 percentage and and mains me 87 percentile hai can I get any government college in India

Hello,

If you are targeting government colleges NITs or other reputed instituions then weightage of your board marks is less than your JEE marks, as every boad has different marking scheme, whereas if you have good JEE marks then you have an edge over other candidates.

First you should shortlist decent government colleges in your home state and look for its cut-offs.

Then you can go for government colleges of neighbouring states according to your marks.

And one more thing do not give more importance to percentile alone, also keep in mind the marks you have obtained. The reason is where competition is high all the students will be around the same marks bracket.
