Staff Selection Commission conducts the SSC CGL Exam only for graduate candidates. So, if you want to apply for the exam then you must have a graduation degree from a recognized institution or university.

While CHSL Exam is conducted for 12th class passed candidates so if you want to appear in CGL Exam after getting a post under SSC CHSL then you must have to complete graduation with your job.

SSC (staff selection commision) conducts various examinations for the government posts. Three exams are held namely MTS (Multitasking staff ), CHSL ( Combined Higher Secondary level Examination), and CGL (Combined Graduate Level).

Required Academic Qualifications For SSC CGL:

The general qualification for SSC CGL is Graduation but it varies based upon the post as follows:

(i) Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer:

Bachelor‟s Degree from a recognized University or Institute

Chartered Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

(ii) Junior Statistical Officer: A Bachelor's Degree in any subject with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor's Degree in any subject which includes Statistics as one of the main subjects at degree level.

(iii) The rest of the Posts: A Bachelor's Degree from any recognized University.
