If you have failed in one subject or have scored low marks in the UP board Class 10th exam, then you can apply for the compartment exam to improve your scores. Moreover, if you have failed in two papers then also you can apply for improvement exam. With the improvement exam, you get one more chance to improve your grades and score better.

But this option exists only for class 10th board exams and not class 12th. If you fail in one subject, you are eligible to appear in improvement exam but if you fail in two subjects then you may appear in compartment exam in one or both the subjects. For registering yourself for compartment or improvement exam, you may visit the official website of UP Board at

  • On the homepage, click on the Apply for High School 10th compartment exam link
