l am a commerce student and have not studied maths in my +2 ....but I strongly want to do bsc economics . so what should be the necessary steps to pursue it in my future?
hey,
if you are commerce stream student and not having mathematics in your 10+2 then if and anyhow you could manage to get admission in B.Sc economics then during pursuing the course then you may face problem while studying the mathematics i first year of your course , as in the field of economics it requires to have a strong command in mathematics and truly saying a career in mathematics without mathematics is not very feasible at all , as you would not be able to cope up with the statistics and other important topics in mathematics.
good luck!
Greetings, aspirant.
In some of the top universities that offer B.Sc in economics such as the DU, maths is a compulsory subject in the eligibility criteria.
However many universities still offer Economics to students that have not had maths as a subject in their +2.
Some of the universities that do this are as follows :-
- Narsee Monjee College, Mumbai
- Banaras Hindu University
- Symbiosis University, Pune
- Christ University, Bangalore
These are some of the best colleges in the country that offer B.Sc in Economics
If you wish to pursue Economics through BA, you can also apply through numerous other universities such as the University of Hyderabad.
I hope this information helped you!
Good day!
