Hello Akshita,

The larynx is also called the voice box and has the associated cartilage that produces sound. The tract consists of the nasal cavity nd paranasal sinuses, the pharynx (nasopharynx, oropharynx and laryngopharynx) and sometimes includes the larynx.

Hence larynx is  a part of the thoracic cavity.

Hello Aspirant!

Larynx or Voice Box or Adam's apple is not a part of nasal cavity. It is located in between our pharynx and the trachea.
Inside the larynx, two highly elastic vocal cords are present and through the narrow slit or gap in between them, air column passes. Vibration of these vocal cords due to passage of air column results in the production of sound waves and hence, our voice.
