Last year I had scored 79 in GATE, but this year my paper didn't go well. Should I appear GATE again next year or give up..Help me please!!

As you have not mentioned you want to go for IITs or PSUs so considering both you can consider your last year score as well to get admission in IITs and there are few PSUs like DRDO which you can go for using your Gate 2016 score. But it is advisable to check with the particular PSUs where you wish to get recruited.

Thank You! Can you please tell me the Cut Off required for DRDO. Is there any written or PI round for the DRDO Jobs. I am unable to find out any IIT's accepting last year score. Please guide me in applying to IIT' s through GATE 2016 score.

As DRDO is a defense organization so they do not release any cut off. They just give login option on their website, you just have to login to check whether you have received call letter or not and final selection will be based on GATE - 80% + Personal Interview – 20%.
