Last year(2020) NIT seats were 23506, Will they increase or decrease this year(2021) ? and why

Hi.

Number of seats in NITs overall will vary depending on the fact that if there is a new NIT in the making then seats will increase or if any NIT introduces a new engineering program then seats will increase as well. If they decide to remove an engineering program then number of seats will go down. It cannot be predicted that seats in NIT will increase or decrease as such. Only an estimation can be provided, however, as B.Tech is always in demand it is fair to believe that seats in NIT will increase in coming future.
