No ,you can't get admission in VIT UNIVERSITY through lateral entry directly in 2nd year.You must have to appear for VITEEE to get admission in btech course.
You have to find some other options of colleges to get admission in L.E Btech.

No, as you are from diploma background, then in your case you should get lateral entry in btech.
For diploma candidates, whom are going for btech,, their btech is called lateral btech. In btech you should directly admit in 2nd year..
