Hello student!!

Refraction is the phenomenon of  change in direction of a wave passing from one medium to another or from a gradual change in the medium
Refraction is  called as  bending of a light or  wave, or the way the light bends when entering the eye to form an image on the retina.

Hello Aspirant,

Material of lens and power of lens are the prior of refraction .

Lens material-

Polycarbonate lenses are made of a type of plastic that is more impact-resistant than standard plastic lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are also much thinner and lighter in weight. ... Because of these properties, it is the  lens material  of choice for children's lenses, sports lenses, and safety lenses.

Power of lens-

The power of a lens is defined as the reciprocal of the focal length. Lens power is measured in dioptres (D). Converging (convex ) lenses have positive focal lengths, so they also have positive power values. Diverging (concave ) lenses have negative focal lengths, so they also have negative power values.

hope this helps you
