Lovely Professional University is one of the top ranked universities of India and globally as well.

• The campus of 600+ acres - That’s really not an interest to a student. What’ll she/he be doing of such a vast area. You’ll only be having a particular block for your academics.

• Eight hostels for boys and Six for girls - You’re gonna need a place to stay so hopefully there’s more than enough space to accommodate you. That’s a plus point.

• Security measures for girls - If you’re a girl and decide to reside in a hostel. Then you’ll have to mark your attendance daily in the hostel to the floor warden and be in the hostel within the entry timings. 6:00-6:30 is winter's timing and in summers up to 07:30 probably. So if you don’t enter into hostel till that time. You are gonna have to face the warden for an explanation and maybe a call to your parents. That’s a bit harsh. While girls may not like this but I’m sure their parents would surely do. But if you wanna live freely. There are plenty of PGs near the University. Now decide what’s best for you. But you’ll be super safe inside the hostels than in PG’s that’s for sure. You can go to the library from 08:00 PM to 12:00 AM. But will be accompanied by a guard from your hostel to the library.

• More than 200 courses are offered to range from Diploma to PG - You are probably going to find the best course for you among these. That’s for sure. Another plus point.

• Mandatory 75% aggregate attendance - You’ll need to maintain a baseline of 75% aggregate attendance in order to be eligible to give exams. That’s harsh and they won’t accept any medical leaves or anything. Literally nothing they are gonna accept from you. If you fall below 75% you are not gonna be eligible for final exams until you possess a good percentage in the last term. In that case, they’ll provide you with some grace. That’s a good point. Also, they have mark criteria for attendance. As your attendance increase or decrease, you’ll have marks ranging from 2-to 5. That’s for you to decide whether it’s a plus point for you or not.

• Placement - Yes. Students do get placed from the university and a lot of drives are conducted from various companies. No doubt most of the drives are CSE/IT-based. Companies with decent packages come in. You’ll have to compete with everyone to grab the opportunity but it’ll be worth it.

• Tons of events - May it be Cultural, Sports, or Academic. There are numerous events held on the University campus itself. If you like to dance/sing/act then you’ll have numerous cultural events, You get a handful of opportunities if you are a sports guy. Let it be football, cricket, basketball anything. You’ll get many-many tournaments in every case. If you’re a computer geek, you like coding and all that technological stuff. You are gonna have a great ride.

Without a doubt, it's a beautiful place for education with a serene environment. The university campus spreads over 600 acres in boundary on the outskirts of Jalandhar and houses over 30,000 students.The campus has all the facilities a student can ask for be it Food Canteens, Gym and Parks.

Courses

LPU offers a lot of courses B.Tech , MBA, Hotel Management and LL.B are some of the popular courses. When students of so many streams interact with each other it helps in expanding the mind not only in the course the student is currently pursuing but also in other courses.

Faculty

Most of the faculty members are from IIT, IIIT,NIT, IIM or from elite Schools (India/Abroad. They have a decade of experience. The faculty is really helpful. Even they help students after regular university hours In every section they have 40–60 Students which helps teachers to focus on focus on each student.

Placements

On average, more than 600 companies visit every year for various industry-academia activities and campus recruitment of students from LPU.LPU provides placements to the maximum it has record-breaking placements in MBA approximately 98% of students got placed in top companies in the year 2020. Moreover, CSE students were placed in top companies, with a package of 42 per annum in Microsoft was a highlight in the newspaper and in news. In CSE the placement record is almost 100%. one of my friends did B.Tech from LPU and now she is working in Google in USA.

Many experts have given negative feedbacks for this University . Academics is not good , faculty is not good , food quality is also bad , Wi-fi facility is also not good , Fees is also high . Actually they advertise a lot about themselves but in reality , the university is not much good .

Lovely Professional University, though a relatively new university which got an independent university status as late as 2006, is one of the fastest growing universities in India, with unparalleled infrastructure and a very diverse study environment.

The University management is one of the best in India, so much that IIM Banglore has a case study of LPU Management in their curriculum. Funding for start-ups, projects (quality ones) is also in abudance.

Students are trained in Aptitude, Reasoning, free preparation for Govt Exams, Soft Skills and language training, Interviewing skills right from the 2nd year, continuously for 1-1.5 years till they get job.

Almost 98% of students who have above 6CGPA in engineering get placed in any reputed company. On an average, 200 MNCs visit our campus every year, placing around 2000 students every year. Packages vary from 3.33lpa to 30 lpa based on the students' skill.
