Hope you are doing great there . A candidate can give jee mains in three consecutive years . Let me explain this with the help of an example . Suppose a candidate has passes his 12th in 2000 , then he can give jee main in the following year:-

If you are in class 12th right now, then you will be appearing for your class 12th board examination in 2022 and thus as class 12th board appearing student you  will become eligible for jee main 2022

For your reference,

Jee main eligibility criteria is given below-

--------) Qualification required :- to be eligible  for JEE mains you need 10+2/equivalent qualification.

--------) Passing year :- one is eligible for JEE main examination for consecutive three years starting from the year of appearing for 12th /equivalent examination i. e to be eligible  for JEE mains 2022   you should be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent  in   2022 or should have passed it in 2021 or 2020

with 12th appearing year as 2022,

you will be eligible for jee main 2022 , 2023 and 2024 as well.

--------) There is no age limit to be eligible

-   -------) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main.

But yes,

To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category  or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category.

For this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % has been lifted off   .

But in 2022, yes this 75-65 % criteria for       NITs, IIITs, CFTIs will be there( if removed due to conditions like pandemic then nta will notify about it)
