m pharmacy is compulsory or not for drug inspector exam

Hello Aspirant!

M. Pharmacy is not compulsory to appear in exams conducted for Drug Inspector vacancies as the basic eligibility criteria to become the drug inspector is :-

-You must be a graduate with a degree in B. pharma. or medicine with specialization in clinical Pharmacology/ Microbiology.

UPSC asks for an additional experience of minimum 18 months in manufacturing/testing of Schedule C or C1 drugs but it is not mandatory for other exams.

So, if you have a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, then you can apply for the post for Drug Inspector.
