Hi

Improvement exams are primarily a chance for you to improve your own previous score but if you are getting lower than your previous score then obviously it will not be considered. RT stands for repeat theory and it's your choice if you want to give the exam again or not but in the event your improvement score is not upto the mark your old mark sheet will be retained or considered.

Hope this helps!

Aryan Singh I really don't know why your school is telling you like that?.. CBSE is against using words like fail thatswhy they have codes for everything in their grading system. CBSE has the final say they won't mislead you.. Moreover it's common sense improvement exams are for improving your score if you don't improve your score obviously your previous marks will be considered.. Only a candidate who has cleared all his papers is eligible for improvement exam then how can he be considered fail just because he couldn't improve his score... If they want to torture students why would they keep such exams in first place! I know I am defending CBSE but I think they are kind enough to give importance to a students mental health.. The only drawback is students are not clear about the various exams and code words in CBSE .. We keep getting queries regarding this.. It's pandemic time boards across the country are relaxing their rules for the students then why would CBSE do the opposite?.. Improvement exams have always had only one purpose and remains so!
You shouldn't rack your head after talking to a concerned authority! Schools have to abide by the rules of CBSE .. You are not fail remember that!

Ankita Sen If you are still unsure Ankita get in touch with the CBSE authorities their words might put your restless heart to rest! Trust me whatever they say is the truth don't trust me or anyone else for that matter! But make sure you feel better after talking to them.. You are not supposed to stress out so much!

Aryan Singh There's also one point in circular if we give in one subject then best of two marks will be considered it's just above that point on number 4 talk to regional office again and tell about what your school is saying if your marksheet will come pass by cbse then you don't have to listen school.
