See whether you opt for enggg or Hotel Management , all that matters is the institute and its team of academicians .Its true that not all students are able to clear IIT and NITS exams and taking the advantge of this the market is flooded with so may Engg. Graduates and supply is more and demand less, as a result the salary in industry is bit less.But for the meritorious ones who even studies in non Govt Reputed Colleges can get good jobs with good packages .

As far as Hotel Management course is concerned, there is no doubt that the hospitality industry grows more even during recession too.As a result the demand for skilled professionals is always on rise.But mere getting  a hotel management degree wont do, you need to have good knowledge of all the departments of Hotel , as hotel management course is not merely a cooking course , cookery is a part of it and this course enables you to become a Manager.not a cook or so .You may opt for Chef in J.T. which is held in 8th sem.One more point to remember is the I.T .usually done in 5 sem should be arranged in 5star Hotel of Reputed chain and this will help you get a J.T. in good property and as a result you will get a Good Job with Handsome packages.Nvere the less overseas options ,cruise,will be there for you .All you need to do is pread your wings and have to fly.You dont need to worry about money both in India and overseas , doesnt matter from where you do the course , all that matters is Your professional attitutude with professional expertise.
