It is recognized under the government of Jharkhand and the degree is accepted by the MHROD,Government of India. So don't worry about this. Coming to your question as mentioned in the admission brochure of IP "Candidates who have passed qualifying examination through distance/open Education system of any recognized University/Board is eligible to apply for admission".
