Hello..

Firstly ,there are three private medical colleges in odisha KIMS, SUM and Hi-tech medical college. There is very less scope to get MBBS if the candidate is from general category in the first , second and third round however you can wait till mop round which usually happens at the end for the last vacant seats.

Besides this you can also apply through management quota as the changes of getting a seat through management quota is comparatively high. Based on past few years admissions, students with that range of marks have taken admission through management quota in SUM and KIMS bbsr.

All the best.

Hello student,

You have not mentioned which category you belong to. With a score of 170 ,it becomes difficult to procure a seat in the private medical colleges when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, a minimum score of 491 was required to fetch one a seat in the Hi tech medical college and hospital, Bhubaneshwar in the general category under the state quota. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection

Hii !!

I am sorry to say you that the chances of getting any medical college is very rare for the marks obtained. Even through private medical colleges you won't be able to take admission. It is advisible to drop put a year and prepare very well for next year if your passion is medicine. Else,  you can go into many other streams available.
