Hi Gopesh
For IIMs , it takes admissions only after the release of CAT score. Wherein it consider academic profiles , past experience and certifications in some cases too. They give weightage to all these segments differently. But yeah CAT scores holds more weightage than past academic or job profiles.
Whereas for other institution they organise their own exams too. And they seek admissions on CAT Scores also.
So its totally institution policy for intake of students.
If you are preparing for exams then don't worry about the hidden criteria or policy just focus on your preparation and rectify your weak area to perform better.
Good luck for your career ahead.
Thanks
It's the policy of each college to when they open up their application and when they close it.
According to me top reputed private colleges do this procedure before CAT exam because they also wanted to initiate the procedure of second round quickly which will help them to grab good tl.p. students accepts their admission offer before other b-schools. This could be a reason of which I am not sure but anyway we can't change the procedure schedule.
So you should keep a check on all the colleges application deadline so that you can keep applying in the college of you want to.
Make sure you don't miss anymore college's deadline.
