Dear student,
Due to the pandemic COVID 19, JEE Main 2020 has been postponed and according to the Ministry of human resource and development , now the exam will be conducted September 01 to 06, 2020 . So the cut off , marks and percentile will be issued after that. NTA (National testing agency) has stated that the analysis of marks vs percentile for JEE Main helps a candidate to estimate their most probable rank easily. As per the official notification, a total of 11 candidates scored a 100 percentile in JEE Main January 2020 Session. NTA also stated that they will try to declare JEE Main results within 15 days after the exam.

You can calculate the percentile score as:
Percentile Score of a Candidate = 100 x (Number of candidates who secured a raw score (or actual score) EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate) / (Total number of candidates who appeared in that session).
So, with this formula, the raw marks of the candidates are normalized and expressed as Percentile Score (also called NTA Score). It also eliminates the discrepancy caused by the variation of difficulty level across various sessions
You can also through previous year marks and percentile.

Hello Aspirant,
From last year result declaration scheme has been changed for JEE-Main by NTA. Now the scores are normalised therefore it would be difficult to predict the marks vs percentile for the JEE Main 2020 session.
If you have appeared for the January exam and checked your result, you can calculate your probable rank for your percentile score using the formula mentioned below:
100 - your total percentile score(which is the percentage of people down from you). 869010 are the number of candidates appeared for January session of JEE-Main 2020.
So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100.
