Since you are talking about the special round.But let me tell you that a rank of about 57k in obc category can fetch you a seat in some of the North East NIT's during the end of the JOSAA rounds of counselling,but only in the lower branches of the college.

If you can wait till the end of the counselling,i think you can get a seat in any one of the NIT's of North East,but if you are targetting any particular branch like CS/IT/ECE,then it may not be possible for you to get that.

But some of the NIT's where you can look forward to get a seat are:

• NIT Meghalaya
• NIT Silchar
• NIT Agartala
• NIT Mizoram
• NIT Nagaland

These are some of the NIT's in  North East where you get a seat if you wait till the special round of Josaa.

Wait till the end,you may get something you never expected.
