May i know that the mba admission are based on cat exam marks or by graduation marks only??
It all depends on the institute. Some of the top institutes give a fair degree of weightage to past academic results. Examples are IIMs, IITs. There are also top institutes which do not consider past academics. Exapmles- XLRI, MDI, TISS. Hope this helps. All the best!
Basically mba admissions are conducted on the basis of mba entrance exams like CAT,XAT,CMAT,MAT, ATMA and others. The top institutes for management studies are iims as you will be knowing it.
But there are many colleges/universities who conduct their own entrance test at their own level. For example In Rajasthan university, there is a state level entrance exam for mba and there is no need for cat and mat score. While in private universities there is a need to get a good cat score to get a seat in b school.
So all and all it varies. You need to figure it out where you wanna go. Top universities conduct entrance test and they combined percentile with academic scores.
I wish you all the best for future endeavours.
Cheers !!
